Color Fundamentals

Color Fundamentals I collected paint chip samples from different stores to do alot of assignments for this class. Class projects included making our own color wheel, and mixing colors to create colors and their compliments. Journal assignments included collecting pictures that demonstrated a use of color psychology, mixing a color with different amounts of white, black, gray, its compliment etc. to demonstrate tint, tone, shade, value, intensity etc. and examples of how colors shift depending on background colors. The final project was one image that we reproduced 4 times applying a different color scheme to each image. Each of our color schemes used 8 colors. Monochromatic, Analogous, Complementary, and a color scheme we created. Most people designed logos but we also had web pages, art posters, and interior rooms. Examples of how these projects could look although these images do not use 8 different colors!!!
