Over my summer break I am trying to get all my links organized. So many times I have been at school trying to do something and I know it would be easier if I could look at a website but it is saved on my favorites at home. I want to try to keep all my links online so I can look at them no matter where I am.

Final Persuasion Poster-Complex

For my complex poster for my layout class I have started on two designs. My subject is teen pregnancy. I am not sure which one I am going to use. I like the first one but not sure what else to do with it.

Final Persuasion Poster-Simple

I changed my mind on my topic for my simple persuasive poster for my layout class. Now I am going to do the BP oil spill. I was watching CNN with some friends. They were talking about the oil spill and the subject turned to how it takes a major disaster like this to bring about change. That was my inspiration for changing my topic. I decided to make a gas pump but instead of paying in dollars it shows that we are paying in marine life. The idea being that this will bring about a change to more renewable energy.

Finals Week

This quarter is finally almost over! It has been a hard quarter for me. I have felt very burned out. This is the last week of the quarter and all my final projects are due this week.

Joomla

Today I am working on my final project for User Centered Design. I am creating a website using Joomla for a customizable preschool curriculum program. This site has been nothing but a pain!!! Not only have I had to teach myself Joomla because my prof isn't but she told me to put a bunch of files in the trash can and now I can't get them back!

Oh well here is my header rough draft. The brown bar is the nav and everything above the brown bar stays the same. Everything below the brown bar rotates to 4 different images that display artwork produced by children.

For my final the changes I am going to make are keeping the font the same on the images below and round the corners on the image above the brown nav bar.

Digital Painting Wisdom

My final project for digital Imaging II is to create a digital painting. In the class if you do not have the skills for digital painting you are encouraged to do free online tutorials. But this book teaches you how to develop your digital painting skills beyond free digital painting tutorials and apply the most up to date techniques on a digital canvas. I wish my prof had shared these techniques with us instead of free online tutorials.

 I thought my prof was not going to like my spinning chef hat or strawberries and of course she did not. I stopped the hat from spinning but I like the strawberries so I kept them. I am working on fixing her photos in photoshop so I can finish the photo gallery of her work.

I redid Sharon's site. It has been about 2 years since I did the original one in the browns and red.

Persuasion in Print- Final For Layout

I started working on my final project for my layout class.

This project is to create 2 separate posters. One poster will have a simple layout, the other will have a complex layout.

Using one (or two) subjects from the list below I have to develop a persuasive poster which clearly advocates for or against the topic in an effective graphic design.

My idea for the simple poster is to make it look like a scrapbook page with a fake funny news article, a picture of a boy with a gun, and him in the hospital. For the complex poster I am going to do teen pregnancy with a lot of statistics.
