Finals!

 Summer session 2012 is finally over! Here are all my final projects.

IMD312     Interactive Motion Graphics
IMD313     Animation Graphics
IMD412     Des. for Server-Side Technology
RS345     Fund. of Advertising


For my finals I did a portfolio website for Fund. of Advertising. For Interactive Motion Graphics and Animation Graphics the finals were very similar create an interactive project using both flash and after effects. Interactive Motion Graphics I did a map of the Pies of Texas and for Animation Graphics I did a video player for 3 kinetic type clips.  Design for server side I made a photography site that uses php and a database.

Design for Server-Side Technology





Design for Server-Side Technology is the second half of Design for dynamic websites. This class focus is on PHP and MySql. We have a website that we are posting our homework assignments. They come from 2 books PHP Solutions and Learning PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.

Final project is a website that uses PHP and MySql.


Website Proposal
Austin is full of amazing places to photograph.  Most people know about Mt. Bonnell or the state capital but what if you are looking for a unique place to photograph. Do you know where to go in Austin to photograph an iconic Austin mural or get a great shot of a peacock? The purpose of this website is to provide users with information about places to photograph around Austin that they might not know about.  This site helps users find great backdrops and scenic views for their photos. Members can also share with other users their favorite places to photograph and they can also chat with other users about where to take pictures.

Final

Here is my final website for Design for Dynamic Websites. This course is about We used MySql and PHP.
I use databases on 3 pages. Home page has a list of featured websites that comes from a database also on the wines page you can search wineries by type of wine and on tours page I have a list of wineries with the region they are located in.

Design Brief

Summary

You’ll find everything you need to start researching and planning an extraordinary wine tasting adventure with this database which contains listings for Vineyards and Wineries in Texas.

Target Audiences

The typical user of this site is between the ages of 30 to 45 with a household income of $75,000 to $200,000. The users live in Texas or are planning a visit to Texas. The target audience is looking for information on setting up and planning an itinerary for visiting wineries in Texas. Users want to learn to about wine, buy unique wines, and /or support local businesses .

Web Site Goals

The goal of this website is to provide website users a database in which they can easily find the perfect vineyard or wineries to visit in Texas. Users who visit the site, will feel immediately feel welcomed into the world of Texas wineries, and then users will find this site offers them the digital tools to find wineries in Texas.

The site will have an organized and elegant look and feel.

Page descriptions

The website will have an easy to navigate left-side navigation and a liquid design to nicely fill up the users monitor. The layout of the home page will immediately show visitors that this site will be useful to them in planning a trip for visiting vineyards and wineries in Texas. The main feature will be the map of Texas wineries. Other features that will be included on the website a section that shows "featured wineries.” And a weather guide showing the local weather of the different regions of the wineries.

It was a very hard quarter because so much happened in my life during the past 11 weeks while I was trying to go to school and maintain my GPA. It is now time for my summer vacation to start! 3 weeks off!!! Then the summer session starts. Here are my summer classes:

IMD323 Interactive Motion Scripting
An advanced course that applies motion
graphics as an integrated interactive solution;
students will script interaction, sequencing,
and motion for interactive projects.
Optimization is a critical consideration in the
creation of the user-centered experience.

IMD330 E-Learning Design
This course will introduce students to the
principles of instructional design as applied
to e-learning. Skill development will include
goal analysis, performance objective writing,
instructional strategies, and instructional
materials creation.

IMD331 Designing for Dynamic Websites
Students will apply user-centered design
principles, database structures and server
side scripting to create dynamic Web sites.
Particular attention will be paid to design
issues relating to the display of dynamic
content on the screen and how that dynamic
content will be delivered.
