Crushing Crumbs
To make fine crumbs, break the graham crackers into small pieces. Put them, a small batch at a time, in a Ziploc bag and roll over them with a rolling pin. You can also grind them in a food processor.
What to do with leftover cheesecake mix.
If you have excess batter that cannot be poured into the pan do not eat it raw remember those uncooked eggs! Instead try making mini cheesecakes. Take paper muffin cups, put a vanilla wafer in the bottom, and then pour your leftover mixture into the cups.

Second Assignment

This week our 2 assignments are to create our first treatment and flow chart. For the treatment we need to main content objective, answer who is the company/client and why do they need your product, talk about our "hook", discuss target audience, ideas, process, or information that will be conveyed, and discuss visuals. The flow chart shows a clear navigational path of our project.




Overview

Most college students have tried all the restaurants around them now they can learn how to recreate those same dishes at home. This is an educational website about learning how to cook for college students. A college student moving into their first apartment may feel less then confident about preparing meals for themselves or friends this website will help them gain the confidence they need. It gives readers detailed instructions on how to prepare a meal. It also shows readers how to purchase items for recipes and equipment they will need.

Goals

The website will provide education by offering individual lessons for each recipe provided. The goals for this website is to provide users with easy to follow recipes, detailed instructions on how to prepare the recipes, how to shop for ingredients, and guidance on any techniques in preparing a recipe they may not understand. Users will learn how to create their favorite restaurant meals at home.

Target Audience

The target market demographic for this website would be college students who are just learning how to cook meals for themselves. The secondary audience for this website is anyone who wants to learn how to cook. The primary user of this website is motivated to learn how to cook but is frustrated by sites that only offer recipes and no guidance in how to prepare a meal. The users want to be able to replicate their favorite restaurant recipes. Most of the users of this website will be in their first apartments. They are frequent users of the internet and are very internet savvy.

Creative Considerations

The website will incorporate image based online cooking lessons. Users will learn techniques by watching videos. The website will offer step by step instructions with photographs. The color scheme will include red since red stimulates hunger. The content on the pages will be simple casual and to the point.

Our first assignment is to brainstorm about one specific type of project you might be interested in designing throughout the course and analyze a Web site or multimedia product that addresses a concept similar to the one you are considering developing.

For my project proposal I want to create an e learning cooking website.

Analysis

I chose to analysis the website smart kitchen. This website is an online cooking school. This website is for people wanting to learn basic cooking skills or for people who want to move beyond the basics. To view all the features of the website you have to buy a paid membership but I was able to see enough of the content to be able to analyze the site. The first thing I notice about the website is the color scheme. The website uses red and yellow which are colors that are suppose to make us hungry. The website is very easy to navigate. It is easy to find what you are looking for. The site has three categories in which you can search for information lessons, recipes, and resources. The lessons page is broken down into 3 categories beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Each page is consistent in design with the Lesson category followed by the number of topics within that lesson. For recipes each page is consistent with a recipe checklist that includes ingredients needed as well as the tools and equipment needed. I think that the writer of smart kitchen wanted to create an online course for people that would be similar to a culinary program but that could be done at home and in your own time. I like how the website includes an easy break down of the equipment you will need for the recipes. I also like how if a recipe talks about something that you do not understand you can go to the resource center.

Project Proposal

As a single working mother I have learned to make meals fast and cheap. Recently, my daughter called me from college and wanted to make a dinner for her boyfriend but had no idea what to do. I had to walk her through deciding what to cook, buying groceries, and how to cook the meal. I began to look for websites that I could direct her to that would help her learn how to cook but I could not find any that would take her through every step of the process. I want to create a website that will help anyone new to a kitchen learn how to cook simple meals, find what you need in a grocery store, and walk you through recipes step by step.

This is a specialized writing course for digital
media production. Students will learn the
unique characteristics and techniques of

GD416 Media Business Law

This course covers the multiple facets of
media business law. Topics include: an
overview of the legal system, contracts,
personal property, intellectual property,
copyright and additional legal and ethical
business issues as it impacts media and
design professionals.

DFVP111 Fundamentals of Video Production
Students will study the technical terms of
video production and learn to operate basic
video production equipment, using typical
industry techniques.

IMD421 Portfolio I

This course focuses on the beginning of the
portfolio and enables students to begin their
portfolio designs. The students should come
into this course with designs for the portfolio
and determine the concept(s) for their final
portfolio. The student will also complete a
professional résumé and begin the job search.
