Assignment- Create a 15 second commercial for the SXSW festival. This is my first project using After Effects.

Symbols of Power

Create a new symbol for peace or other cause. Avoid cliches like dove with olive branch or 2 finger peace hand. Begin with at least 5 to 10 thumbnails present them to class during critique. Justify one that will be most symbolically communicate the concept.

Project Proposal

We are building a website for Audio for Interactive Design.

The website that I am going to do is a college recruiting website for my daughter, Micaela. My daughter has colleges in other states recruiting her for wrestling. She needs a website that she can direct colleges so that they can view information about her. The website will provide Micaela with a clear profile of herself to direct coaches to. This website will not only show that Micaela is a gifted athlete but she is academically ready for college.

The main goal of this site will be to provide information to coaches and college admission representatives information about Micaela. The easiest way to measure the success of this website is if she gets a wrestling scholarship. Coaches will be able to see a highlight video of Micaela’s wrestling. She will not have to send out individual DVDs to coaches anymore. She can direct them to her website. She can update videos so coaches can track her progress. She will be able to provide hyperlinks to articles that have been written about her in the Pflugerville Pflag.

Assignment- Create a concise, original graphics, ones that can be easily identified for parents, students, and school staff, for five major programs at the Art Institute of Austin.
Isotype (International System of TYpographic Picture Education) is a method of showing social, technological, biological and historical connections in pictorial form.

My idea was to have the icons spell MAJOR but I do not think that jumps out at you. I got points off for the font I used. Not heavy enough.

For the icons I took pictures of things I have and used live trace in Illustrator.

This is my first assignment for Inter authoring. Not very fancy! The assignment was to make something that changed using only one frame and actionscript 3.0. When you click on the button the colors change. I also had to add everything to the stage using only AS 3.0.
