You've Come a Long Way, Baby

I started this blog after I had been in school for almost a year. I have been looking over some of my old projects and have realized how much I have grown as a designer. One reason I started this blog was so that other students or people interested in learning web design can see what happens in each class. I am going to be posting information about the classes I took before I stared this blog.

The classes that I have taken but are not on this blog:
Digital Visual Composition
Digital Photog. for Design
Design Fundamentals
Observational Drawing
Introduction to Scripting Languages
Color Fundamentals
Usability Testing
Perspective Drawing
Fundamentals of Audio
Typography - Traditional
Digital Imaging I

This is an incredible video I found that uses logos to make a short movie.

Van Gogh A Sense Of Movement

Van Gogh used an impulsive, gestural application of paint and symbolic colors to express subjective emotions. These methods and practice came to define Abstract Expressionism. Vincent was attempting to create harmony both by intensifying of the colors themselves and by arranging them in their complementary and simultaneous contrasts.

My works influenced by Van Gogh's style:

Pointillism

For my final project in art history II I am going to do a picture using pointillism which is a technique of painting in which small dots are applied in patterns to form an image. Not sure if I am going to stick with this idea or change my mind here are a few examples of what I have made so far.

Work in Progress

For our final project in advanced scripting we have to include 15 to 20 features from what we have learned in class. I decided I was going to make the website I am working on look like an old fashioned wanted poster. Some of the features I have add so far are a collapsible menu. Also, when the page opens up the title scrolls through 8 letters or symbols before it gets to Mike Bourland. Another feature is adding fonts to my website. I also have a sliding image show on the homepage.

This is what I have so far:
